Typhoon Ondoy:the tragedy

Posted on the September 27th, 2009 under Locations, news by aple

It was yesterday, August 26, 2009 when the great Typhoon Ondoy shows its enormous tragedy. Many properties and lives were destroyed and still counting until now. I live in Makati and I considered myself and my friends lucky that we were not part of those areas that were affected by high floods caused by this typhoon. However, watching tv and seeing those people who needs help made e feel sad. Good thing i got home safe  from Ultra yesterday. But the travel going to makati was not that easy. We really had a hard time finding roads because almost all areas were flooded. I can even see people walking through the flood in makati. Jeepneys don’t  even pass through Pasong Tamo area because the water is almost 5 feet high. I was so happy that there are many people and companies who are willing to help those who are in need. It was a disaster and a big tragedy in manila but this kind of incident is unenforceable. All we can do is to give the best help that we can do to the needy.

Salamat Cory: Transfer of Cory Aquino’s grave passing by Ayala Avenue, Makati City

Posted on the August 5th, 2009 under news by aple

Last August 3, 2009 around 12:00 to 12:30 pm, the body of late president Corazon Aquino was transferred to Manila Cathedral. With her family, her coffin carried by the truck covered with yellow flowers pass by Ayala Avenue in Makati.

The night before this event, I have no idea that it will going to happen until a text message coming from my manager and office mates informing to prepare confetti and wear black and yellow ribbon in honor of Pres. Cory Aquino. It was confirmed, her remains will pass by Ayala Avenue. People felt so privileged to witness the transfer of her remain. It was so sad that i can’t witness this event because I was out of the office but good thing my office mates took pictures and videos. As I browse the pictures and videos, I saw how people loved her, how they sympathize with the family and how they thanked her for all the good things that she has done for the country.

The MRT ride

Posted on the July 22nd, 2009 under Locations, Ramblings by aple

“Sisikan na naman sa MRT”,”Bad Trip sobrang sikip kanina sa MRT”. These are some of the few bad comments that i can hear everyday from those who are riding MRT to and from the office. I had an experience riding MRT on one busy evening. It was a weekday and most of the people are going home. Rush hour as they call it. As expected, crowded place with very long lines. People opted to ride through MRT when they commute because its faster and cheaper. These are practical reactions to the uncomfortable, traffic, polluted, and lazy road travel. If I were in that kind of situation, i might also do the same. But due to these, MRT became crowded. When you decide to ride through it, you must be alert. Everyone wants to get in and wants to have a space inside the train and the result these, pushing here and there and bumping everywhere. Picture yourself with somebody having an inch distance with each other, thats what u get when you are in MRT. Sometimes, people would fight because of these situations. Maybe they just can’t handle it. These are some of the overview inside the MRT. I wonder what would the responsible person will do lessen some of these problems. I can say that thinking for the solutions is tough. So the next time you ride an MRT, think first and for those who doesn’t have any choice, well you realy have no choice. Patience is all I can say.

Posted on the January 31st, 2009 under Locations, Ramblings by aple

Check this out! I took these pictures at Lucban, Quezon.. Nice place.. cold… and always raining… its a good feeling when you can see the true beauty of nature. especially for me, who resides in the city, where all you can see are tall buildings and not many trees, polluted air and no fresh cool air, vehicles and not animals grazing the land.Well, i guess i discovered that i have a new hobby of taking pictures. I’m looking forward to my next adventure with more pictures to come as well. It’s so fulfilling everytime you can see your work especially if its not the usual thing that you do. :)
